I am writing this note primarily to give all of our regular store customers and rewards program members the latest information about our new Farm Loyalty program that will be launching tomorrow in the store (yes the farm store will be open New Year's Day regular hours from 10 AM - 6 PM).
We are replacing our old Revel Point-of-Sale system and its clunky and difficult-to-use loyalty program with a brand new rewards program through Square POS. Read on for the details of the program, if you are not signed up yet there is a link at the bottom of the program description to sign up now and start collecting points.
NEW LOYALTY PROGRAM
Instead of "points", customers will now earn "Moolahs" with each purchase in the store or online. Moolahs do not expire. $1 spent = 1 Moolah; customers do not earn Moolahs for gift card purchases or sales tax.
Existing Revel loyalty points were converted into the new Moolah values and entered into Square - customers will notice that their points values suddenly jumped up quite a bit. The value is the same, Moolahs are just different from Revel Como Points. Rewards are coupons to be taken off at the register in-store.
250 Moolahs = $5 Off
500 Moolahs = $10 Off
1250 Moolahs = $25 Off
Birthday Coupons ($10 Off) are earned 7 days before the customer's birthday and expire in 6 months. There is also a Welcome Coupon - when a customer signs up for the loyalty program with an email, s/he earns 250 Moolahs ($5 Off).
Customers will see their Moolah totals and available rewards (with explanations of Moolah values) at the customer screen when they enter their phone number at the register. They have to choose the reward to use at their screen. If a customer has enough Moolahs for a $10 off coupon, it will give them the option to use a $5 or $10, but only lets them use the total rewards they can "afford" with their Moolahs. Example: A customer has 600 Moolahs. A $5 reward (250 Moolahs) and a $10 reward (500 Moolahs) will be available to use, but the customer won't be able to use both because using both would require 750 Moolahs). This option lets customers spending less that day still use a reward.
If a customer does not enter a phone or email to log into or sign up for the loyalty program during the transaction, they will get another chance immediately after they pay. The sign up screen will return for 30 seconds and they can still collect their Moolahs then. They cannot use a reward after the transaction is complete; they will only earn Moolahs.
VIP Group - Square Loyalty will track which customers have spent $1200 in the last 3 months ($400 monthly average) and members who reach the VIP spending level will be able to reserve raw milk in advance by emailing the farm store.
Customers can sign into their loyalty rewards account at the register during checkout, by clicking on the Rewards button in the upper right corner of the customer screen to see how many Moolahs they have and rewards they are eligible to redeem.
